Jo Crotty, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesman for Warrington South, has welcomed the decision announced today to award again the Post Office Card Account (POCA) to Post Office Ltd. Dr Crotty has been campaigning to keep post offices open across Warrington during a year which has seen the implementation of the Post Office's Network Change programme in Warrington.

In recognition of the momentum growing behind the campaign to stop the 'Super' Prison being built in Warrington, Granada News filmed part of the protest, live, outside Parr Hall (where the council meeting discussing the issue was held).
